Jezinac Beach, located in Split, Croatia, stands out for its unique natural setting and proximity to the city center. Nestled along the Šetalište Ivana Meštrovića Promenade, it offers a remarkable view of the surrounding islands. We were seduced by the crystal-clear waters, inviting you to swim and snorkel along the rocks!
In this article, find our photos and tips for making the most of your visit to Plaža Ježinac.

This opinion is completely independent, based on our experiences. We made our own choices, visited the area anonymously, and paid our bills in full.
Is Jezinac Beach worth it?
Yes, Ježinac Beach is well worth a visit. This rocky beach, partially laid out in concrete, offers crystal-clear, clean water, perfect for swimming. However, we recommend that you bring swimming shoes for added comfort. We really appreciated its peaceful atmosphere, lulled by the sound of the waves and the laughter of children. With its shaded areas under the pine trees, its pleasant promenade and its superb views of the islands off the coast, it is one of the most beautiful beaches in Split!

Type of beach
Sand or no sand?
The beach is gravelly, rocky and concreted. You’ll need swimming shoes to get into the water without hurting your feet. This type of soil requires a little vigilance when swimming, although the water is completely translucent.

Swimming conditions and supervision
Swimming conditions are good when wearing swimming shoes, with crystal-clear water and a moderate slope that allows gradual entry. Waves are rare and appear mostly according to the weather, making for generally calm swimming. However, the beach was unsupervised during our off-season visit, so caution is advised, especially in the absence of first-aid posts or danger signs.

Installations
We found that the beach had changing cabins and showers, making it very comfortable for visitors. However, there were no deckchairs or umbrellas for hire in the off-season, which helped to preserve its natural ambience.

Special features
Dog
We observed a sign prohibiting dog access to the area.

Reduced mobility access
Ježinac Beach is not particularly suitable for people with reduced mobility. There are no special facilities to facilitate access. However, it is possible to reach the beach from the parking lot via a relatively flat concrete path, to enjoy the view. Swimming can be tricky, as there are no ramps to enter the water, but rather a staircase.

With children
The beach is family-friendly thanks to its pleasant natural setting and crystal-clear waters. Equipped with swimming shoes, entry into the water is also gentle and gradual. However, there are no lifeguards or dedicated play areas, so vigilance is essential.

Naturism
It is not possible to practice naturism on Ježinac Beach. This urban beach does not offer a dedicated naturist area.

Eating out
During our off-season visit, there were no catering options on the beach. For lunch or dinner, you’ll have to head for downtown Split, easily accessible by bus. Our article on the best restaurants will be available soon, and already includes the Restaurant Fig Split for its fresh, modern cuisine.

Hotels
Ježinac Beach is located close to Split city center, where you’ll find a wide range of accommodation options. You can choose from a wide range of hotels to suit all budgets, offering easy access to the beach and the city’s other attractions. We particularly liked theAmbasador Hotel with its rooms offering a breathtaking view of Riva Split.
