Is Hotel Rixos Premium Dubrovnik worth it? Our review
Absolutely! We were seduced by the Hotel Rixos Premium, a huge 5-star complex that combines luxury, calm and a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea.
Located just 1.5 km from Dubrovnik’s old town, it makes it easy to enjoy the cultural treasures while allowing you to isolate yourself in a cocoon of well-being.
The rooms are comfortable, often with balconies, and we greatly appreciated the Anjana spa, the swimming pools or the private beach. The best part? The restaurants are top quality!
In short, an ideal address for combining relaxation and discovery, which we have listed among the best hotels in Dubrovnik.

Decoration and atmosphere
We really appreciated the fact that everything was oriented towards the sea.
Right from the entrance, the tone is set: bouquets of fresh flowers in shades of blue, works of art with marine accents – like this wave-shaped sculpture in the lobby – and marble floors with shell motifs. A nod to the Adriatic, omnipresent on the horizon.

The vast lobby, bathed in light thanks to large skylights, is organized around a majestic group of trees planted in the heart of the patio. A touch of serenity that combines well with the modern elegance of the whole.

Finally, the spaces are comfortable and designed for relaxation. While the furnishings are refined, the atmosphere is relaxed and resolutely vacation-oriented.
The room
While we loved the hotel’s decor, our standard room overlooking the park left us with a mixed impression. Bright, functional and quiet, it offered a good amount of space, but the atmosphere, lacking any real identity, was a little disappointing for a hotel of this standing. The terrace, although large, also lacked charm, with an uninteresting view of neighboring apartments.
A word of advice: opt for the sea-view rooms, which are more luxurious…

The bathroom
In our room, the bathroom was also functional and well laid out, despite the rather narrow space. We appreciated the large walk-in shower, the sweetly scented Bvgalri toiletries and the large mirror.

The breakfast
Breakfast was definitely our favorite part of our stay at Hotel Rixos! Served in an elegant restaurant with a direct view of the sea, it’s as appealing for its setting as for the richness of its offering. Everything is homemade, with impeccable freshness and a strong emphasis on local produce: delicious breads and pastries, ripe fruit, local cheeses and charcuterie, colorful salads and delicate pastries.
We also loved the freshly brewed coffee and the mobile omelette service!

Swimming pools
Hotel Rixos Premium Dubrovnik offers three pools to suit all tastes: an indoor pool for relaxing under cover, a large outdoor swimming pool bathed in sunlight, and a shallow pool dedicated to children.

All around, deckchairs and parasols invite you to relax in a well-kept setting. Remember to reserve Balinese beds for two people in advance at reception (extra charge) for a day of absolute relaxation.

The hotel also offers direct access to the sea, with steps and showers available. A safety cordon delimits a quiet bathing zone, while a dedicated area allows the more adventurous to dive into the clear waters of the Adriatic.

Equipment and common areas
Hotel Rixos Premium Dubrovnik offers top-of-the-range facilities.
Its luxurious spa offers several rooms dedicated to relaxation, including the classic hammam, sauna and jacuzzi, as well as more original ones such as the iglooroom, the tropical shower and the room made entirely from Dead Sea salt!
Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the state-of-the-art gym, bathed in light thanks to its glass façade overlooking the outdoor pool.

On the entertainment side, the lobby features pool tables, while the pool area invites lively games of table tennis or table soccer. Sports fans will also find something to suit them at the Irish Bar, a dedicated room with a large screen for following live events.

Last but not least, the hotel also makes your stay easier with a full range of services: car rental, concierge service to organize exclusive guided tours, clothing boutiques, pharmacy… everything on site to make your life easier!

The restoration
We very much appreciated the Rixos Premium Dubrovnik Hotel’s varied restaurant offering. For romantics, a top-of-the-range fish restaurant serves refined plates on tables facing the sea. Reservations are essential here!
More casual but also at pool level, a Greek restaurant offers sunny, authentic cuisine, while the pool bar delights holidaymakers at any time of day with its range of cocktails and snacks.

In the lobby, the buffet restaurant seduces with its variety of hot and cold dishes, complemented by a Japanese-style sushi counter! The tempting pastry counter is also hard to resist…
In short, there’s something for every taste and appetite, from breakfast to dinner.
