Absolutely! Charmed by the romantic atmosphere and unique Art Nouveau architecture of the Hotel Piazza Héritage, we appreciated the impeccable cleanliness of the rooms, the comfort of the bedding and the breathtaking view of the Place du Peuple. Staying here is like staying in a UNESCO-protected cultural monument in the heart of Split’s old town. Ideal for couples, we highly recommend choosing a room with a view of the square, to fully enjoy the local atmosphere. For us, this is without doubt one of the best hotels to stay at in Split.
Decoration and atmosphere
The Hôtel Piazza Héritage seduced us with its elegant, romantic decor, inspired by the style of palaces but without the usual excess of pomp. Here, there’s no imposing gilding or overloaded décor: everything is designed for simplicity and refinement. Sober shades of beige and white, elegant furniture and delicate chandeliers create an intimate setting where every detail contributes to a cocooning atmosphere.
Bouquets of fresh flowers and black-and-white photographs of Split add a warm, artistic touch, reinforcing the feeling of being in a truly tranquil refuge. The result is a romantic, peaceful ambience, ideal for relaxing after a day exploring the old town, while enjoying the neat, welcoming surroundings.
The room
The superior room at Hotel Piazza Héritage offers a cosy, perfectly appointed space, ideal for a comfortable stay in the heart of Split. The two adjoining single beds, with firm mattresses, guarantee excellent support without sacrificing comfort, while the warm, romantic decor, punctuated by classical touches, creates an elegant, soothing atmosphere. We slept very well, leaving the window ajar to enjoy the lively atmosphere of the historic center.
The room is bathed in natural light thanks to a window overlooking the Place du Peuple, while remaining sufficiently subdued to ensure optimal rest after dark. It is equipped with functional furnishings including a desk, closet and safe, as well as modern technologies such as TV, landline telephone and a home automation system for easy regulation of lighting and temperature.
For your convenience, you’ll also find a kettle, a small fridge and welcome amenities including bottled water, tea and coffee. Despite the hustle and bustle of the square, the room remains a haven of peace, perfect for relaxing after a day’s sightseeing. With its unique view of the square and intimate, well-kept surroundings, it’s the ideal choice for enjoying Split in comfort and elegance.

Comfort is enhanced by quality towels and fluffy bathrobes, perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing. Hygiene products, by L’Occitane en Provence, offer a refined sensory touch, while a practical towel dryer keeps your towels warm and dry with ease.
The breakfast
Breakfast at Hotel Piazza Héritage is distinguished by its variety and quality. The self-service buffet offers a wide choice of sweet and savoury products, perfect for getting the day off to a good start: cold cuts, cheeses, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and fruit juices. For those who prefer a hot meal prepared on the spot, it is possible to order dishes made to order, such as a vegetable omelette or scrambled eggs.
You can also enjoy breakfast on the outdoor terrace. We had breakfast in the restaurant as it was overcast during our stay. Whether you’re in a hurry or just want to take your time, this comprehensive and varied offer guarantees a pleasant, gourmet start to the day.
The restoration
Hotel Piazza Héritage’s elegant ground-floor restaurant is in perfect harmony with the hotel’s romantic ambience. Restaurant K.užina offers refined bistronomic cuisine, combining local tradition with innovative touches to create a unique culinary experience. Each dish is prepared with care, both in terms of quality and presentation, for a sophisticated gourmet experience.
You can also enjoy your meal on the outdoor terrace. Whether it’s an intimate dinner or a relaxed lunch, the experience remains pleasant and convivial, in harmony with the hotel’s charm and refinement.

To reach Hotel Piazza Héritage from Split Airport, drive towards the city center. It’s about a 40-minute drive. As the historic heart of Split is entirely pedestrianized, you’ll need to park on the outskirts.
Once parked, walk to the hotel: from Place du Peuple, opposite the pharmacy, take the narrow alley on your right to reach the hotel’s green entrance.

Parking
The hotel has no parking facilities, as it is located in the heart of a pedestrian zone. The parking lots at the entrance to the Old Town are quite expensive, so we recommend the parking lot at Istarska ul. 4, just an 8-minute walk from the hotel.
For people with reduced mobility
The hotel is equipped with an elevator, but there is a small step at the entrance. There is no specific information about rooms suitable for people with reduced mobility. We recommend that you contact the hotel directly on (+385) 21 553 377 for further details.
Is Hôtel Piazza Héritage family-friendly?
In our opinion, this hotel is not really suitable for families, although it does accept children. Its elegant, refined decor and intimate ambience evoke a romantic, peaceful setting, ideal for couples in search of tranquility. The spaces and atmosphere are not specifically designed for families, and if you are traveling with children, it may be preferable to opt for an option more suited to this type of stay.
