Is the Park Split Hotel worth it? Our review
Absolutely! We were seduced by the peaceful atmosphere and historic charm of the Hotel Park. We enjoyed the outdoor swimming pool overlooking the sea, a real haven of relaxation after a day’s sightseeing. The staff were efficient and welcoming, making our stay particularly pleasant. We liked the elegant decor and the winter garden bathed in natural light, which create a refined atmosphere. For us, this establishment is the ideal place for a family or romantic stay in Split.
Decoration and atmosphere
The hotel’s décor is refined, with velvety armchairs and long, textured curtains adding warmth and elegance. The furniture, made from noble materials, emphasizes a style that blends tradition and modern luxury. The winter garden, the luminous heart of the establishment, invites you to relax in a green setting. Through the large bay windows, vegetation flourishes, as do statues, adding to the romantic character of the setting. We really fell in love with this space!
The spacious outdoor terrace is an extension of the winter garden. It offers a soothing view of the sea between the trees, reinforcing the feeling of a haven of peace. Climbing plants decorate the pergola, giving it a unique character. Together, they create a setting conducive to relaxation and disconnection.
The room
Our room offered a calm and restful atmosphere. The large, soft bed took pride of place in the center of the room, guaranteeing deeply restorative nights. The clean, elegant decor, though classic, could benefit from a touch of modernity for added freshness. The bay window opened onto a small terrace offering a soothing view of the sea in the background and the surrounding vegetation.
The coffee machine and kettle let you prepare hot drinks at your convenience. Slippers and bathrobes add an extra touch of comfort. The study area may also prove useful during your stay, should you feel the urge to create or write, inspired by this charming place, nestled by the sea.

The bathroom
Our bathroom was distinguished by its elegance and meticulous layout. It combined a bathtub and a shower, offering comfort for all uses. The marble-effect vanity matched perfectly with a mirror in matching tones, adding a refined touch to the space. You’ll appreciate the quality of the towels, embroidered with the hotel’s initials, and the fluffy bathrobes at your disposal. A host of complimentary toiletries, including Penhaligon’s London, complete the facilities.
The breakfast
Breakfast is buffet-style, offering a wide choice of sweet and savory options. We particularly appreciated the tasteful breakfast decor, with its charming jam jars and colorful produce stalls. On the sweet side, pancakes, waffles, viennoiseries, a variety of breads, pastries and fresh fruit make up a gourmet assortment. All accompanied by hot and cold drinks, including coffees, a selection of loose teas and fruit juices.
On the savoury side, you’ll find all the classics that give you energy to start the day on the right foot: charcuterie, cheeses, grilled bacon and sausages, scrambled eggs and raw vegetables for a well-balanced salad! The elegant dining room makes you want to extend this gourmet interlude forever.
Swimming pool and beach access
Hotel Park Split has an outdoor swimming pool on its terrace, offering a pleasant view of the sea between the trees. This space invites you to relax in a peaceful setting, perfect for enjoying the Mediterranean climate. A little history
Hotel Park Split opened its doors in 1921 under the name Villa Dvornik. It was designed by Prague students Vjekoslav Ivanišević and Fabijan Kaliterna. In 1938, the establishment was enlarged and renamed Hotel Park. Since then, it has become an important cultural and political landmark in the city. The historic charm of its buildings, including its winter garden and sea-view terrace, inspired Croatian poet Tin Ujević, who wrote several of his works here.
