Decoration and atmosphere
The Hotel Ambasador Split’s sleek, modern design is perfectly in tune with Josip Kodl’s functionalist architecture. From the moment you enter the reception area, you’ll be greeted by a tasteful blend of black-and-white photographs, paintings and mirrors that lend a discreet elegance to the spacious room. This sobriety enhances the abundant natural light, thanks to the large windows opening onto the Riva Split. The interior design enhances the breathtaking sea and city views, inviting you to relax while remaining connected to the energy of Split. The overall atmosphere within the hotel is both chic and relaxed.
The room
Our superior sea-view room offered a bright, soothing atmosphere. The large bay window flooded the space with natural light, revealing a spectacular panorama of the city center and the Port of Split. The atmosphere was calm, ideal for relaxing after a long day’s sightseeing. The furnishings are functional and well-kept, with a large, comfortable bed in the center of the room facing the sea.
You’ll also find a small office area and a dressing area in the entrance hallway, as well as practical features like a wooden luggage rack and a full-length mirror. You’ll also find a coffee machine, kettle and minibar for added independence. Attention to detail, such as slippers, bathrobes and welcome products (mineral water, coffee capsules, tea bags), all contribute to a comfortable, well-kept experience.

The bathroom is a very pleasant, well-thought-out space. It features a transparent glass walk-in shower that gives an open, modern feel. The washbasin area is equipped with a large mirror, while the toilet is discreetly placed in a corner of the room, with no distinct separation. A hairdryer is available in this bathroom, as are toiletries including Bulgari products. The bathrobes provided are very soft and comfortable, adding a touch of softness to your stay at Hotel Ambasador.
The breakfast
Breakfast takes the form of a generous buffet, offering a wide choice of sweet and savory dishes on a self-service basis. We appreciated the quality and variety of the dishes, allowing you to compose a meal to suit your tastes, with drinks included. Served in the hotel’s own restaurant, the setting offers a pleasant, elegant ambience, conducive to a serene start to the day.
During our experience, we particularly appreciated the possibility of ordering dishes à la carte, which complements the buffet. You’ll find local specialties as well as more classic options, satisfying all tastes. Attentive service makes for a convivial and relaxing dining experience. We took advantage of the pleasant outdoor terrace to start our day in style!
