We made our own choices, visited the area anonymously, and paid our bills in full.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why eat at Restaurant The Well in Zadar?<\/h2>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is The Well Restaurant worth it? Our review<\/h3>\n\n<p>Without a doubt! We have included it in our selection of the best restaurants in Zadar for several reasons: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Traditional Balkan cuisine.<\/strong>  The \u00e0 la carte menu features grilled meats and fresh fish typical of Croatian cuisine, as well as lighter and vegetarian options. You&#8217;ll discover an authentic and generous cuisine. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The atmosphere and setting.<\/strong>  Nestled in a pretty wooded park, the restaurant offers a spacious dining room and a small shaded terrace overlooking a pleasant water mill.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>For us, it&#8217;s one of the best restaurants in Zadar.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/dr1k3muv9\/image\/upload\/c_limit,f_webp,q_auto:best,w_800\/fl_layer_apply,g_south_east,l_logomark_croatia,o_90,w_60,x_0,y_0\/v1764150236\/restaurant_the_well_zadar_168512.webp\" alt=\"Wooden water wheel next to a building with red flowers.\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What you will eat<\/h3>\n\n<p>The Restaurant offers an \u00e0 la carte menu focusing on traditional Balkan cuisine, with a strong presence of grilled meats. You&#8217;ll find different types of meat cooked over a wood fire, such as steaks, sausages, <g id=\"gid_0\">\u0107evapi<\/g> and <g id=\"gid_1\">pljeskavica<\/g>, as well as typical simmered dishes such as <g id=\"gid_2\">peka<\/g>. We found the portions well-balanced, suitable for a full meal. We particularly appreciated the raw vegetable salad served with hummus and sweet potato falafel, as well as the well-seasoned tomato soup. The focaccia-style bread, served with olive oil, was good.   <\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/res.cloudinary.com\/dr1k3muv9\/image\/upload\/c_limit,f_webp,q_auto:best,w_800\/fl_layer_apply,g_south_east,l_logomark_croatia,o_90,w_60,x_0,y_0\/v1764150274\/restaurant_the_well_zadar_257135.webp\" alt=\"Salad with dumplings, bread, glass of beverage and bottle of oil on outdoor table.\"\/><\/figure>\n\n<p>For dessert, the Apple Strudel with custard adds a pleasant sweet note, although the cream softens the crispness of the puff pastry slightly. Dalmatian and Istrian vintages are prominently featured and available by the glass, making food pairing easy. We tasted the Hugo cocktail, fresh and not too sweet, a pleasant start to a meal.
