Yes, Opatija’s Lido beach is well worth a visit. Located in an elegant setting, close to the Angiolina Park, it combines rocky areas and concrete platforms, like many Croatian beaches. The water quality is excellent, and we’ve learned that the beach has been awarded the Blue Flag label, a guarantee of a clean, well-maintained environment. From the beach, you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the city and the Adriatic coastline. <\/p>\n\n

Opatija’s Lido beach is mainly rocky, with no sand. But that doesn’t make it unpleasant. The flat rocks and concreted sections are handy for lying on, and you’ll find ladders for descending into the water. <\/p>\n\n

Swimming conditions were excellent during our visit. The water is crystal-clear, very clean and generally calm, with very few waves. The beach is not supervised.<\/p>\n\n

The beach is comfortable thanks to the possibility of renting deckchairs and umbrellas, but also thanks to the presence of showers and the proximity of a bar-restaurant where you can refresh and satiate yourself all day long. Toilets are available in nearby restaurants. <\/p>\n\n
