Yes, absolutely. In fact, it\u2019s one of the best museums in Pula. The setting\u2014a former printing house\u2014is bright, understated yet lively, and allowed us to enjoy the artworks in a peaceful space, away from the crowds. Even the small installations and less monumental works benefit from thoughtful presentation that helps visitors appreciate them more fully. <\/p>\n\n

If you’re interested in contemporary art, the dialogue between local and international art, or simply want to take an artistic break in Pula, this is a must-see. It’s one ofthe best things to do in Pula<\/a>! <\/p>\n\n

What we liked most about the Museum of Contemporary Art in Pula was the richness and variety of the works on display. Some installations particularly impressed us, such as Kosmi\u010dki Ritmovi<\/em> by Milena Mijovi\u0107 Durutovi\u0107, a poetic and vibrant composition that plays on cosmic rhythms, or Prvi san <\/em>by Ana Aleksi\u0107, an immersive audiovisual installation that literally enveloped us. We also smiled at Disco Mije\u0161alica<\/em><\/strong> by Leo Vukeli\u0107, a cement mixer transformed into a disco ball: a humorous nod to the encounter between art and everyday life. <\/p>\n\n

But beyond the artworks, we really appreciated the architecture of the museum itself<\/strong>. The combination of the old building and the clean volumes of the contemporary fittings creates a luminous and inspiring atmosphere. <\/p>\n\n

History in brief<\/h3>\n\n

The Istrian Museum of Contemporary Art (in Croatian, MSUI\u2014 Muzej suvremene umjetnosti Istre<\/em>) is housed in the former printing house in Pula, a building characterized by its simple and spacious architecture.It was designed to showcase works created from the second half of the 20th century through to the most recent artistic projects. <\/p>\n\n

It has become a leading venue for the regional and international contemporary art scene, offering\u2014depending on the exhibition\u2014a rich diversity of media: installation, video, painting, sculpture, and audiovisual art. The temporary exhibition we saw (from Montenegro) is a good example of this. It embodies a poetics of stylistic pluralism, blending visual narratives, technological and digital influences, and historical references. <\/p>\n\n
