Restaurant BioMania<\/strong> is, in our opinion, a great place to discover plant-based gastronomy<\/strong> in the heart of Zagreb<\/strong>. In a bistronomic spirit<\/strong>, the team offers 100% plant-based<\/strong> cuisine, creative and seasonal, prepared in collaboration with local organic producers<\/strong>. A committed approach that combines culinary pleasure and respect for the environment, for an experience that’s both tasty and responsible. <\/p>\n\n

Why eat at Restaurant BioMania in Zagreb?<\/h2>\n\n

Is the BioMania Restaurant worth it? Our review<\/h3>\n\n

Without a doubt! We have included it in our selection of our favorite restaurants in Zagreb for three main reasons: <\/p>\n\n

  • Creative organic cuisine:<\/strong> the menu is entirely plant-based, using fresh, local and organic ingredients. You’ll discover organic gastronomy that changes with the seasons, for a healthy and inventive culinary experience. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • A commitment to sustainability:<\/strong> the restaurant works closely with local organic farmers and producers, and is the very embodiment of sustainable tourism in Zagreb. You’ll be seduced by this responsible approach, which values local produce and quality. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • An intimate, accessible setting:<\/strong> located in a pedestrian street in the center of town, the restaurant offers a warm and inviting space for 20 to 50 diners, ideal for a relaxed, convivial meal. The atmosphere is conducive to relaxation and sharing. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    In our opinion, this is one of the best restaurants in Zagreb.<\/p>\n\n

    What you will eat<\/h3>\n\n

    Restaurant BioMania offered us an entirely plant-based, organic culinary experience. The menu features creative, seasonally adapted dishes, highlighting plant-based foods from local producers. We began our meal with a board to share: olive tapenade, hummus and cashew carrot p\u00e2t\u00e9, served with homemade gluten-free crackers. <\/p>\n\n

    Although we were in the mood for the same things on this menu rich in plant-based options, including burgers, one of us opted for the Red Curry Bowl<\/em>: saut\u00e9ed vegetables served with a savory tomato-coconut sauce, around an island of steamed basmati rice. The rice could be replaced by quinoa. <\/p>\n\n

    The other chose the Falafel Bowl<\/em>, a salad of seasonal vegetables and tricolor quinoa topped with three superb falafels and pomegranate herb mayonnaise. A delight! <\/p>\n\n

    Restaurant BioMania’s desserts are renowned, and the raw cocoa and dark chocolate brownie with millet flour was dangerously close to our hearts, but we heroically resisted the temptation.<\/p>\n\n

    What you will drink<\/h3>\n\n

    The drinks menu at Restaurant BioMania is rich and varied, with numerous references. We found a selection of 17 wines, carefully chosen to complement the vegetal and organic flavors of the cuisine. <\/p>\n\n

    In addition to wines, the menu offers a wide range of house drinks: freshly squeezed juices, smoothies, immune-boosting drinks… And cocktails and mocktails to whet the appetite. <\/p>\n\n

    We settled on a Brenson’s Virgin<\/em> with cherry juice and basil, and a glass of white wine from Croatia, a 2023 Pinot Grigio Bolfan<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n

    The atmosphere of the restaurant<\/h3>\n\n

    The decor reflects the restaurant’scommitment to eco-responsibility<\/strong>, with wood, plants and a dominant green color. The interior space is designed to offer comfort and proximity. A 20-seat terrace completes the offer, ideal for enjoying fine weather. <\/p>\n\n

    The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, supported by attentive, helpful staff. We felt right at home, in a setting where simplicity rhymes with quality. It’s an authentic atmosphere that perfectly matches the philosophy of this very healthy<\/em> restaurant. <\/p>\n\n

    What makes BioMania Restaurant so famous?<\/h3>\n\n

    Restaurant BioMania is renowned for its unique concept of organic, plant-based and local cuisine in Zagreb. Founded in 2018 by Dario Ko\u017eul, initiator of the concept on the island of Bra\u010d, it is part of a sustainable and responsible approach, valuing local organic producers. <\/p>\n\n
