Decoration and atmosphere

Each space reflects a subtle balance between tradition and modernity, with a sober, refined décor where Croatian cultural influences are omnipresent. The atmosphere is serene and conducive to relaxation, enhanced by soft lighting and modern materials that respect the soul of this recently renovated old building.

The rooms, all dedicated to emblematic figures of Croatian culture, offer a sleek, elegant design, where contemporary furnishings dialogue with discreet artistic touches. The garden terrace invites contemplation with its lush greenery and panoramic view over Zagreb, making this a romantic and intimate hotel.

The room

Our room

Our double room, with its simple yet elegant modern decor, was perfectly functional. Situated under the roof, it was brightly lit thanks to two large skylights that let in natural light without compromising calm. The optimized layout of the space gave an impression of spaciousness, with sleek furnishings including a small desk, storage cupboard, safe and TV, meeting all our practical needs.

The bedding was of very good quality, ensuring restful nights. We appreciated the easy, stable internet connection, ideal for staying connected without restraint. The view from the skylights wasn’t spectacular, but we did enjoy contemplating the surrounding rooftops. Our room was a tribute to the 19th-century Croatian composer Vatroslav Lisinski. All in all, our room embodied everything you’d expect from a hotel today: comfort, brightness, modern amenities and a refined ambience, without excess.

The bathroom

Configuration and layout

The bathroom in our room was perfectly optimized for comfort and functionality. It featured a spacious shower, perfect for freshening up after a day exploring the old town. The toilet was integrated into the room, with no separate partition.

Equipment and finishes

We found quality equipment, including a hairdryer and towel dryer. The hygiene products provided were by Rituals, a brand renowned for its refined skincare. The tiles on the walls and floor were equally sober and elegant.

Comfort and experience

The bathroom was spotlessly clean, with good water pressure and constant hot water. The towels were of very good quality, thick and soft, while the bathrobes, although untested, showed a nice material. This attention to detail reflects the attention paid to the customer experience in this small establishment.

The breakfast

A refined morning experience

Our breakfast was much more than just a meal. It was an exceptional moment. Served in the hotel restaurant, it took the form of a generous buffet, where we found a wide choice of sweet and savory dishes to suit all tastes. We really appreciated the diversity of options, with traditional specialties and healthy alternatives, perfect for getting the day off to a good start.

Relaxation and wellness areas

The hotel also has a spa, which we didn’t try out. We preferred to take advantage of the garden terrace and its intimate, leafy setting, ideal for enjoying a coffee or a drink while admiring the panoramic view over the city.
