Is the Amadria Park Hotel Milenij worth it? Our review
Without any hesitation! This hotel was the highlight of our entire trip to Istria. We were immediately seduced by its neoclassical architecture, cozy atmosphere and privileged location on the waterfront. As soon as we arrived, the staff were attentive and smiling, and a valet took charge of our car to park it in the underground parking lot, a real comfort after several hours on the road.

The ambience is both elegant and soothing, with a touch of old-world charm. Every detail is taken care of, from the subtle perfumes in the lobby to the little chocolates left in the room for us to enjoy. If you’re looking for a romantic and refined address in Opatija, it’s hard to beat it.

Decoration and atmosphere
The hotel perfectly blends Opatija’s Belle Époque spirit with contemporary comfort. High ceilings, crystal chandeliers and period architectural details recall the splendor of early 20th-century seaside resorts, while elegant furnishings and modern touches create a warm atmosphere.

We loved the light-filled lounges and the large picture windows overlooking the sea. In the evenings, and at breakfast, the musicians in the Piano bar played a few classical tunes, reinforcing the impression of a place out of time. You’re sure to love this refined atmosphere, perfect for a romantic getaway or a relaxing break.

The room
Our room offered a perfect blend of comfort and classic elegance. We particularly appreciated the noble materials, heavy curtains, soothing, harmonious colors and delicate lighting fixtures.

What impressed us most in our room were the large windows offering an almost panoramic view of the city and the Adriatic Sea. We spent many a moment gazing out at it during our stay, so captivating was it. We loved watching the first light of the morning with a cup of coffee, or the lights of the bay in the evening.

In terms of facilities, everything was provided for: silent air-conditioning, minibar, coffee machine, safe and top-of-the-range bedding. A small gesture we really appreciated: the chocolates offered by the hotel – a simple detail that perfectly illustrates the attention paid to guests.

The bathroom
Spacious and bright, our bathroom combined light-colored marble and silver finishes, in a style that was both classic and modern. It featured a walk-in shower, fluffy towels and quality Roberto Cavalli toiletries.

Cleanliness was impeccable, and every detail seemed to have been thought out with comfort in mind: comfortable bathrobes, magnifying mirror, and a seat to sit comfortably in front of the mirror. You’ll surely appreciate this balance between elegance and practicality!

The breakfast
We loved Hotel Milenij’s breakfast!

Served in a light-filled room overlooking the sea, the buffet was rich and varied: fresh fruit, crisp pastries, hot dishes, local cheeses, squeezed juices, pastries, cheeses and charcuterie, vegetables and eggs, gluten-free options and, of course, plenty of local produce.

All in a calm, hushed atmosphere, on the hotel’s light-filled terrace, with the murmur of the waves and the sound of the piano in the background. A perfect start to your day!

The restoration
The hotel’s restaurant, called Argonauti, is housed in an elegantly decorated room – formerly a dance hall – or, weather permitting, on the vast palm-fringed terrace. It offers superb views over Kvarner Bay. We recommend that you dine here to enjoy the sea view and the cosy, romantic ambience.

On the plate, the cuisine is distinguished by its refinement and authenticity. Local products take pride of place: fresh fish of the day, local shrimps and white Istrian truffles are just some of the menu highlights. Each dish combines finesse and generosity, enhanced by discreet, attentive service.

Enjoy truffle risotto or perfectly cooked grilled fish, accompanied by a glass of Istrian white wine. You’ll enjoy a top-class culinary experience in an idyllic setting – the Argonauti restaurant is the perfect embodiment of the Mediterranean art of living.
